If you thought Manipal was a small town with a small infrastructure, then think again. Manipal is a mini cosmopolitan on its own with amazing food joints, colleges and night life. Manipal is an International University Town. Manipal is a coastal town in the Western Ghats region of Karnataka in the Udupi district. It is located in a lush green valley. It has a pleasant and moderate type of climate all through the year tough during the monsoon it rains quite
heavily.
Hotels
Valley view international hotel, hotel green park, royal international hotel, Hotel Ashlesh and Hotel Krishnaleela are among the most famous hotels in Manipal. Price range is from Rs. 500-4000. Valley View International is the most expensive hotel in this town. Paradise Isle Beach Resort is situated on the beach of Malpe.

Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Institute of Communication and Ta Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) are the colleges which make Manipal the University town that it is today. Manipal University has over 20 constituent institutions that provide over 180 courses across 13 streams viz Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Nursing, Allied Health, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Management, Mass Communication, Information Sciences, Hotel Management and Regenerative Medicine.

Manipal : University town, planetarium, museum, heritage village, end point and Malpe Beach. Watch the sunset in Malpe beach where you can take fantastic pictures of sunset in the background of St Marys island. One can also visit the St Mary’s island

Udupi (Five km from Manipal): The temple town, well known for Sri Krishna Temple Krishna Temple in Udupi, Vinayaka Temple, Aneguddi, beaches and beautiful rivers

Mangalore: 65 km from the main town has beautiful temples, harbors, beaches and the most famous historic St Aloysius church.
